Specialty Ice Skating Classes - Intro to Ice Dance Synchro Ice SkatingLearn about synchronized skating, the team discipline of figure skating! Form wheels, circles, lines, blocks, and intersections connected to other skaters. Advanced and more experienced synchro skaters will also work on more challenging formations, elaborate step sequences, lifts, and specialty skills.Class is available for youth levels Pre-Alpha 2 and up, ages 6 and up. Posture & Flow for Intermediate Skaters - Posture & Flow Spring Session Posture and Flow for Intermediate Skaters is for aspiring figure skaters Pre-Alpha to Delta to work on figure skating specific skills. The learning focus is on building a good posture while skating, good form of the free leg position while gliding, and arms flow. Skaters will be learning or improving forward and backwards crossovers, forward two-foot turns and three-turns, mohawk steps, forward and backward edges, and step combinations.
Music, props and games will be incorporated.
This class is geared toward figure skaters as an introductory class modeled after Power and Edge. If you are looking for higher level class check out Power and Edge which begins at FS1.

Power & Edge for Figure Skaters - Power & Edge for Figure Skaters - Spring Session Power & Edge Figure Skating in particular helps to develop more explosive acceleration, powerful strides, agility and balance on the ice. Power & Edges Figure Ice Skating techniques focus on both speed and strength training, along with practicing proper skating techniques, including body positioning and balancing drills. Because a beginning level of edge mastery and understanding is required, this class is for skaters in Freestyle Levels, or by request.
