FREE Lessons Sponsored by SOS Swink or Swim. Swim lessons are provided for free through the generosity of its donors, SOS Sink or Swim. “To ensure that every child on the Easton Shore has the ability to swim and knows how to be safe in the water”. SOS Sink or Swim is docked at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Sessions are 2-weeks of lessons, Mondays-Thursdays.
Participants are expected to attend lessons once registered.
Register online or submit your registration forms to the Talbot County Community Center by the registration deadline.

Me & My Little One (Ages 18mos-2yrs w/ Adults)
Adults must accompany child in water. Must wear swim diaper if not toilet trained. Class introduces young children to the water through fun activities with their guardian.

Level 1- Water Exploration (Ages 3 & up)
This class is offered for non-swimmers and beginner swimmers ages 3 and up. It emphasizes comfort in the water, bobbing, front and back float, front and back glide with kick, introduction to alternating arms and basic water and sun safety skills.

Level 2- Fundamental Water Skills (Ages 4 & up)
This class is offered to swimmers ages 4 and up who have passed level one and should be able to be fully submerged for up to 3 seconds. It emphasizes comfort in the water, beginning back stroke, beginning forward crawl, introduction to rhythmic breathing, front and back floating, and progress from supported to unsupported swimming.

Level 3- Stroke Development (Ages 5 & up)
This class is offered to swimmers ages 5 and up who have passed level two or are able to submerged and retrieve an object in chest deep water. They also must be able to jump into chest deep water unassisted, and be able to swim without a bubble or flotation device. The child will learn to coordinate front and back crawls with rhythmic breathing, elementary diving skills, treading water, introduction to breast stroke and water and sun safety skills.

Level 4- Stroke & Turn (Ages 5 & up)
This class is offered to swimmers ages 5 and up who have passed level three and can easily swim laps unassisted. This is advanced training for swimmers to perfect all swim strokes. It will help to improve endurance, fundamentals and speed.
